Emily's Saturday - {video}

I thought it would be so fun to share with all of you, via the blog, instead of just posting some random link. This would count as my first ever attempt to actually record and produce a short video using a DSLR.

Everything was shot totally handheld, and absolutely bare bone camera, so no fancy view finders, jibs, dollies, etc.. :)

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out! I love the control of the Depth of Field when shooting with a prime lens and the 24 frames per second! It definitely gives it that buttery cinematic effect.

So without further ado... Please enjoy!

Awesome. The innocence of a little one is captivating. I bet you're mom loves making treats with Emily. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Emma! Yes, she definitely loves spending any time with her nanny, especially when it involves goodies :)

I absolutely love having the ability to capture these moments and document her life in such an amazing way! Thanks for watching :)

Wow just watched the Vimeo - enjoyed it very much. I am impressed a cinematographer now as well. I have not tried this yet but i am looking forward to it. Which camera do you use Trevor.

Hey Graham, thanks a lot! :) Just something I've been wanting to try for a while and so far I'm really enjoying it! Dangerous though, as the gear get a little pricier :)

This was shot on a D90... fairly limited for control over frame rate and ISO and such, but there are work-arounds. Looking forward to doing more!
