[News] 2PM schedules six more performances at Nippon Budokan for 2012
It looks like 2PM is enjoying solid success in Japan.
The boys have scheduled six more performances for 2012, which will all be held at Japan's 'shrine' of all live concerts, the Nippon Budoka. Other K-Pop artists who took Japan by storm (such as BoA, TVXQ, Kim Hyun Joong, F.T. Island, and Ryu Si Won) have performed there as well, but none have put on six performances in a row.
The boys revealed the news during their final concert of their first arena tour. A representative from JYP Entertainment remarked, "The exact dates have not been confirmed, however, the boys will be putting on six performances, and so they decided to share the good news with their fans."
2PM traveled to major Japanese cities like Nagoya, Tokyo, and Fukuoka to hold their first arena tour. In total, it's being reported that they performed in front of 100,000 audience members.

[News] 2PM concludes first Japanese tour at Nippon Budokan
Korean idol group 2PM concluded their "2PM Arena Tour 2011 'Republic of 2PM'" at the Nippon Budokan on December 21st. Touring 5 locations with a total of 9 performances, 2PM reached out to a total of 100,000 fans. During the final encore, 10,000 fans sang "Hanarete itemo" surprising the boys. 2PM thanked the audience with teary eyes by saying, "We were deeply moved by everyone's surprise event". 2PM is already scheduled to have a 6 day performance at Nippon Budokan.
2PM performed a various array of their hit tracks. They started out with upbeat dance numbers like "HOT" and "Hands Up" followed by their first Japanese single, "Take Off". They even performed their top Korean hits such as "10 out of 10" as well as their popular necktie dance in "I'm Your Man".
For the solo performances, audience members got a glimpse of the many talents the boys of 2PM have. Junho and Wooyoung performed together where Junho wrote the song, while Wooyoung choreographed and designed their outfits. There was also a dance number performed by Taecyeon and Nichkhun. Chansung, who is currently starring in the hit TBS drama 'Kaito Royale' performed an impressive sword battle. Junsu also showcased his artistic side by performing an original song.
While reflecting on their tour 2PM remarked, "It's hard to believe that our first arena tour is over. Thank you so much. When you're tired or when it's hard, we hope that you can look back at this moment and get energy and power from it. We hope to continue making great music. Let's see each other again at our next live!"

[News] Line-up for Hallyu-themed '2011 SBS Gayo Daejun' revealed
SBS will be holding their "2011 Gayo Daejun" on the night of December 29th live at 8:50 p.m. KST!
Representatives of SBS revealed, "We're preparing stages centered around the theme of Hallyu. Like our previous festivals, singers will be holding joint stages together. The details aren't hashed out yet, nor are the MCs confirmed.”
Super Junior"s Kim Heechul and CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa hosted the event for two consecutive years, but as one is currently on army duty and the other is busy with other schedules, SBS has been forced to search for replacements.
As such, Yonghwa will only be performing with CNBLUE for the event. His representative explained, "CNBLUE will be beginning their Asia tour next month so their schedule is booked.”
As of now, the line-up for the '2011 Gayo Daejun' includes TVXQ, 2PM, Super Junior, 2NE1, SNSD, Wonder Girls, KARA, B2ST, CNBLUE, F.T. Island, Brown Eyed Girls, T-ara, miss A, f(x), Lee Seung Gi, IU, Kim Hyun Joong, After School, MBLAQ, INFINITE, Dal Shabet, Boyfriend, A Pink, B1A4, SECRET, 4minute, G.NA, SISTAR, Davichi, K.Will, TEEN TOP, Rainbow, and U-KISS.
