[News] 2PM’s Chansung Opens His Own Gym
2PM’s Chansung became a business owner! On October 31, it was reported that 2PM’s maknae recently opened up his own gym, “CS Gym,” named after his own initials!
“Chansung started a new business with some of his close friends and hyungs he regularly works out with. A lot of celebrities, including 2PM and 2AM frequently visit this place. They’ve been busy working out and staying in shape,” a person close with Chansung told Star News.
“CS Gym” is reported to be located in the Shinsa-Dong area of the Gangnam district. We haven’t been there yet, but our guess is it’s close to the gym run by Lee Hoon, which is also frequented by other celebrities.
Meanwhile, Chansung will soon make his acting debut through MBC drama “The Secret Lovers.” He will play the role of Gong Do Ha, alongside Choi Kang Hee and Joo Won. The drama is a TV adaptation of the 2009 movie, “Level 7 Federal Agent.”

[News] Idol Version of the Love Reality Show “The Romantic” to Air in November
tvN’s love reality program, “The Romantic” is back and will feature some of the hottest idols of 2012. Previously, “The Romantic” featured ordinary men and women as they travel to an unfamiliar place for 9 nights and 10 days to get to know each other and find love. But instead of ordinary men and woman, the show will feature idol stars with a new title, “The Romantic & Idol.”
“The Romantic & Idol” will be produced by the “Answer Me 1997” production team and will feature eight idols. These eight idols will travel to Jeju Island and go on dates and create budding love lines with each other.
The male stars include 2PM‘s Jun.K, MBLAQ‘s Mir, JJ Project‘s JB and ZE:A‘s Hyung Shik. The female stars include 4minute‘s Nam Ji Hyun, Rainbow‘s Oh Seung Ah, AOA‘s Hye Jung and FIESTAR‘s Jei.
Escaping from their busy schedules, these idols will be traveling to the romantic island of Jeju. The show will portray their real, everyday lives as they take part in this romantic vacation. The idol stars will get to go on movie-like dates and the show is planning on displaying each idol’s feelings as well as the dilemmas toward one another.
The main PD stated, “Through ‘The Romantic & Idol,’ viewers will be able to experience that fluttering excitement of dating and first love.”
4minute’s Nam Ji Hyun has already updated her fans with a photo of herself and the beautiful ocean of Jeju Island.
“The Romantic & Idol” will be airing on November 11.

[News] 2pm and Miss A chosen as Korean tourism ambassadors
On 30th October, at Beyond Museum, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 2PM and MissA appeared as ambassadors at the signing event of Korean tourism promotion named “Touch Korea Tour”.
“Touch Korea Tour” is the Korean tourism promotion program with representatives 2PM, MissA. Both groups will participate in recording some videos on the trips to travel around Korea together with foreigners who love Korea. As planned, the video will be broadcasted on CH5 – Thailand TV and CTV – Taiwan TV.
The “Touch Korea Tour” video will be posted through Buzz Korea website, majoring in promoting Korean tourism. In the video, 2PM and MissA as Korean idols will participate with foreigners to visit and introduce Korean’s nice landscapes to the world.
During this event, the MC is Ricky Kim. Besides, not only 2PM and Miss A but also staff will be in charge of broadcasting in Asian, 200 people around the world such as American, Chinese, Singaporean… may also be included in the program.

[News] 2PM’s Chansung confirmed for ‘The Secret Lovers’
Earlier this month, 2PM‘s Chansung was being considered for a role in the upcoming drama ‘The Secret Lovers‘. He has now been confirmed for the the role of Gong Do Ha on the show, which will be one of the main characters.
Gong Do Ha wins the affection of Choi Kang Hee‘s character, putting him in a love triangle along with Joo Won‘s character. On the surface, he is a gentleman and his sharp skills makes him an ace special agent, he also sports a handsome face and strong body. However, his character has scars on his body that suggest a darker past.
Chansung has been active in sitcoms and dramas such as ‘Unstoppable High Kick‘, ‘Jungle Fish‘, ‘Kaitou Royale‘, and he will also have a chance to show off his taekwondo and judo skills.
JYP Entertainment said, “Chansung is working very hard and practicing for this role in the drama. Please look forward to actor Chansung.”
‘The Secret Lovers’ will start airing in January 2013.

Chansung, from idol group 2pm, will expand his acting resume with MBC’s upcoming drama “The Secret Lovers.” He has previously acted in MBC’s “High Kick,” KBS’s “Jungle Fish,” and Japanese drama “Phantom Thief Royal.”
On October 31, the production company backing “The Secret Lovers” revealed that Joo Won(“Gaksital” and “King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo”), Choi Kang Hee (“Protect the Boss”) and Chansung will round out the main cast. The drama is an adaption from the movie “Level 7 Civil Servant” featuring Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ha Neul. The drama is a romantic comedy revolving around two spies who end up falling in love with each other while still hiding their secret alter-ego, creating many possible hilarious scenarios.
Chansung’s character Hwang Chan Sung is an ace rookie agent who will be involved in a love triangle with Seo Won (Choi Kang Hee) and Gil Ro (Joo Won). Chan Sung has a sharp and stoic personality hiding an emotional wound from the past.
A production staff commented, “As a representative Hallyu idol star and rookie actor, Chansung is passionate and ambitious. We are pleased to have him take on Hwang Chan Sung’s character. He is currently preparing to be fully immersed into the character. Please look forward to his transformation.”

[News] 2PM’s Junho and Han Hyo Joo Spotted at Gangnam Police Agency
2PM’s Junho and actress Han Hyo Joo were spotted entering the Gangnam Police Agency together on October 25.
But fans can be rest assured as the two didn’t make a stop due to any troubles with the law but to study for their upcoming police investigator roles.
As previously reported, Junho and Han Hyo Joo have been cast in the new movie, Surveillance, as new police officers in the ground surveillance unit.
To better prepare for their roles, the two paid a visit to the Gangnam Police Agency to observe real officers in action and to interview officers on their experiences and responsibilities.
The incident was, humorously enough, observed by a number of citizens nearby leading to a number of alarmed reports made by a few press outlets.
Surveillance is a mystery crime thriller revolving around surveillance police who must pursue and capture a mysterious criminal in a battle of speed and wit.
Sul Kyung Gu stars as the surveillance expert investigator, Hwang Ban Jang, who is on the trail of a crime gang leader, James (Jung Woo Sung). Han Hyo Joo will play rookie investigator Ha Yoon Joo while 2PM’s Junho will play a supporting role in the movie.
The movie will also be Junho’s big screen debut.

2PM’s Jun Ho recently went to a police station with actress Han Hyo Joo.
On October 26, Jun Ho tweeted, “I went to a police station in Gangnam to interview detectives for the movie Surveillance. I heard their stories and felt that they are great and they work very hard. I want to cheer for police officers in Korea! Take care of yourself.”
Jun Ho plays the role of a police officer specialized in surveillance. He had some time to learn how the police officers work by visiting the police station and interviewing them before he starts shooting the movie.
The movie is about a police department specialized in surveillance. The officers conduct surveillance of a secret group who keeps committing perfect crimes. Jun Ho will make his first appearance on the big screen by playing the role of an ace officer.

[News] 2PM to guest on Kang Ho Dong’s return episode of ‘Star King’
According to insiders, 2PM will be making a special guest appearance on SBS‘ ‘Star King‘ just in time for Kang Ho Dong‘s return to his MC position.
A representative stated, “Excluding Nichkhun, the members of 2PM will be participating in the [October 29th] recording.” Although Nichkhun’s known for his close relationship with Kang Ho Dong on the show, he has opted out of the recording due to his drunk driving incident.
Super Junior‘s Leeteuk has also been confirmed as a guest on the upcoming show. Although the recording will take place a day before his official enlistment, he’s reported to have decided to appear on the program as it helped solidify his image as a variety idol.
This episode of ‘Star King’ will broadcast on November 10 KST.

2PM’s Junho is set to make his big screen debut.
The producers behind the upcoming movie, Stakeout, confirmed they have completed casting with star veteran actors and actress such as Seol Kyung Goo, Jung Woo Sung, Han Hyo Joo, and Jin Kyung.
The mystery crime thriller revolves around police who must pursue and capture a mysterious criminal in a battle of speed and wit.
Sul Kyung Gu stars as the surveillance expert investigator, Hwang Ban Jang who is on the trail of the crime gang leader, James (Jung Woo Sung). Han Hyo Joo will play rookie investigator Ha Yoon Joo while 2PM’s Junho will play a supporting role in the movie.
The movie begins filming in October.

“At first, I worried a lot about appearing on We Got Married,” said Gain. “My first partner wasn’t Jo Kwon. I was told it would be either 2PM’s Nichkhun or Boom, so I had to think hard about it.”
The studio laughed at the completely different choices, as Boom chirped, “I did get an offer to be on We Got Married.” Gain added that her mother really liked Boom and thought he would make the marriage funny.
But on a side note, she said that getting ‘married’ to Jo Kwon was quite stressful.
“Older people started knowing me a lot more after We Got Married but they thought that I was really married to Jo Kwon,” said Gain. “Because of this image, I worry for when I actually do get married or date a boyfriend.”

[News] 2PM’s ‘Masquerade’ Chosen as the Opening Theme Song of Japanese Music Program
2PM’s fifth single, Masquerade has been chosen as the opening theme song for Nihon TV’s music program, Happy Music.
Masquerade took the top three spots on Tower Record’s preorder chart, ever since preorders began on October 15.
For a total of eight days from October 15 to October 23, Masquerade ranked in first, second, and third place, demonstrating 2PM’s popularity in Japan. Due to the high demand, Japan’s Sony Music is in production to increase the number of singles.
The new single has been raising anticipation, even ranking in number one on the mobile ringtone chart Recochoku.
Masquerade was created by famous producer, NA.ZU.NA and M.I, who have worked with Japan’s Arashi, SMAP, Koda Kumi, and more. The song is a about a heartbreaking story of a couple in love.
In the revealed Masquerade jacket photo, the 2PM members are shown more masculine than ever. It’s said that the group will have special masks and costumes for the performances

[News] 2PM Japan Single 'Masquerade' to Release in November
Idol group 2PM has announced that their 5th Japan single, Masquerade, will be released on November 14.
This new single started taking reservations on October 15 and received an overwhelming response. They took over 1-3 place on the Tower Records Online chart as well.
Famous Japan producers NA.ZU.NA and M.I produced 2PM's new album. The songs in this single feature a dance song with sweet melodies that fit 2PM's vocals.
They plan on wearing masks on stage for a different type of performance.
Member Junho's song, "Forever" will also be included in this single.
2PM will begin their Japan arena tour in January of 2013. They also plan to perform at a location that can seat up to 15,000 fans.

A number of idol stars will be going on dates with each other through a new tvN variety show.
tvN’s new updated version of its dating show, The Romantic has changed its format to become The Romantic & Idol, featuring a number of idol stars.
A total of eight idol stars will appear on the dating show including 2PM’s Junsu, MBLAQ’s Mir, ZE:A’s Hyung Sik, JJ Project’s JB, 4Minute’s Nam Ji Hyun, Rainbow’s Seung Ah, Fiestar’s Jae and AOA’s Hyejeong.
The eight already finished recording on Jeju Island recently where they held a number of activities from going on quiet café dates to going to the market and cooking and more.
A source from the show’s production shared, “The cast members were able to show their selves behind the stage as young individuals in their 20s."
The show will premiere on tvN beginning on November 11.

[News] Nichkhun to join 2PM for ‘Live Tour in Shanghai – What time is it’ concert
Hottests should celebrate as it’s been revealed that Nichkhun will be joining the rest of 2PM for their upcoming ‘What time is it?‘ concert in Shanghai.
Nichkhun recently ended his hiatus from the entertainment industry on MBC‘s volunteer program ‘KOICA’s Dream‘, and he’ll be joining his fellow 2PM members for ‘Live Tour in Shanghai – What time is it‘ on November 17 at the Shanghai Mercedes Benz Arena Center.
It was previously reported that Nichkhun’s participation in 2PM’s global tour would be under the discretion of local event organizers and their associated contracts.
Hopefully, 2PM fans will see him throughout the entire tour.

[News] 2PM’s Junsu to be referred as Jun.K instead of Min-Jun
JYP Entertainment officially announced that 2PM‘s Junsu will be referred by his solo stage name Jun.K from now on.
On October 16th, 2PM‘s Junsu announced via his Twitter that he will be changing his name.
He tweeted the following tweets,
BECAUSE OF A FAMILY MATTER, IT WAS DECIDED TO CHANGE MY NAME.
OFFICIAL STAGE NAME WILL BE “JUN. K” AS IT WAS BEFORE BUT THE REAL NAME HAS CHANGED TO “MIN-JUN”. JUNSU WILL NO LONGER BE USED IN THE FUTURE
JYP Entertainment finally answered the question on the 19th, saying, “2PM member Kim Junsu has changed his name to ‘Kim Min-jun’. His name has been changed because of family matters. So he will not be using the name ‘Kim Junsu’ anymore. His official stage name will be ‘Jun.K’, the name he used for his solo activities and while he was composing. Kim Min-jun will not be used on the stage.“
[News] 15&’s Baek Ye Rin Has Been A Trainee For As Long As 2PM
Baek Ye Rin of rookie girl group 15& recently revealed that she had been in JYP for just as long as some of the members of 2PM.
On October 17th, the members of 15&, Baek Ye Rin and Park Ji Min made an appearance for a special interview on YTN’s “News 12 – Issues and People”. When asked how she became a JYP trainee, Ye Rin told the story of her “Star King” appearance in 2006 when she was just an elementary school student.
When Ye Rin decided to try again, she ended up trying out for JYP’s auditions; which she was very successful in. However, she lost out to 2PM’s Woo Young at the time and placed second in the ranks.
Though she ended up as a trainee, she mentioned how difficult it was to travel back and forth between Seoul and her hometown of Dae Jeon. Her father attended this trip with her on the weekends until the sixth grade, where Ye Rin began to go herself.
Lastly, she was asked if she had been disappointed at the fact that others debuted before her. She said she wasn’t disappointed at all and in fact, she “knew [her] debut would be far off. [She] just ran hard and did [her] best”

[News] 2PM’s Junsu and 4minute’s Jihyun participate in love variety program ‘The Romantic & Idol’
2PM‘s Junsu (or Minjun) and 4minute‘s Jihyun were two of the idols who were recently whisked away to Korea’s hot vacation spot Jeju-do on a romantic vacation for tvN‘s love variety program, ‘The Romantic‘.
‘The Romantic’, which featured non-celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes previously, has decided to conduct a spin-off entitled ‘The Romantic & Idol‘ for its third season. It has been revealed that eight idols were cast for the show and recently finished filming in Jeju-do. The celebrities were able to enjoy dates in cafes and go grocery store shopping while surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the island.
A staff member revealed, “[Viewers] will be able to see the natural sides of idols in their 20s off the stage.” This spin off will be directed by Lee Myung Han PD and ‘Reply 1997‘ writer Lee Woo Jung.
‘The Romantic & Idol’ will premiere on November 11th.

[News] A Pink’s Eunji, 2PM’s Taecyeon voted as celebrities fans want most as neighbors
The ‘Reply 1997‘ star came out on top in a poll held on the professional digital art site ‘Drawings Over Flowers‘. After 443 users in their twenties and thirties cast their votes, the results revealed that 36% of users chose Eunji as the female celebrity they’d like most as a neighbor.
In second place was miss A‘s Suzy who drew in 28% of the votes, third was Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon who received 16%, and fourth place was “nation’s little sister” IU with 8%.
On the male side of the poll, 2PM’s Taecyeon placed first with 29%, while Yoo Jae Suk pulled in 23%, Kim Jong Kook 19%, and Song Joong Ki brought in 13%.
