[News] 2PM's ‘What time is It?’ Global Tour

On September 24th, 2PM’s official fan cafe announced: “Hello. This is JYPE. We’re announcing 2PM’s GLOBAL TOUR 2012 ‘What time is it?’.”

2PM Chansung also tweeted: "“Everyone, I’m writing after a long time!! This time 2PM is having a global tour! It’s said that we’re in middle of serious preparations ^^ Everyone is thinking very hard, and preparing in order to show you the most optimal, complete, interesting performance!! Please look forward to it.. And please enjoy it when you come ^^”.”".

Below is the first four stops of 2PM’s global tour have already been planned:

November 17: Shanghai, China; Mercedes Benz Arena

December 8: Jakarta, Indonesia’ Mata Elang International Stadium

December 15: Taipei, Taiwan; Nangang Exhibition Hall

December 22: Macau, China; Venetian Cotai Arena

[News] Chuseok special ‘Miss and Mister Idol Korea’ to feature 16 idol groups

This Chuseok, MBC will be airing a new special, ‘Miss and Mister Idol Korea‘ on October 1st, featuring members of 8 girl groups including KARA, 4minute, SECRET, Orange Caramel, A Pink, and more, as well as members of 8 boy groups including 2PM, INFINITE, MBLAQ, ZE:A, and others.

The preliminary rounds will feature the idols in formal dresses and suits, and the idols themselves twill decide on who continues into the next round by voting themselves on the program. The girls dazzled in their beautiful dresses, and the boys impressed with their clean-cut suits, as all of the idols participated in dance performances and sweet “proposals” to capture each other’s hearts.

An interesting aspect of the show is that it features individual rounds and competition, as opposed to the usual group efforts. 2PM’s Taecyeon and MBLAQ’s G.O are said to have gone into a competitive “clothes-ripping battle” to see who could rip off the other’s clothes faster.

The girls also participated in a “no-rule” game of basketball, allowing them to use whatever fouls they could. ‘Reply 1997‘ star and A Pink member Eunji also battled it out with After School‘s Lizzy in satoori (dialect), as the two are both from Busan.

[News] 2PM’s Taecyeon filmed Reebok CF for 20 hours despite previous arm injury

2PM‘s Taecyeon, who is currently acting as the endorsement model for Reebok, recently filmed a CF for the brand’s Zigtech shoe line.

What’s catching people’s attention, besides Taecyeon’s usual beastly look, is the fact that he filmed the commercial for over 20 hours despite his previous arm injury. He surprised the staff members on the set of the filming with his unending energy, especially considering the idol now has a metal pin in his arm.

Even though he had a Japanese showcase on the day before the CF shooting, he attended the filming looking energized. During the 20 hours, Taecyeon performed every exercise he could, including jumping from a height of 2.5 meters (~8ft 2in), running, side stepping, and even lifting barbells.

Taecyeon himself narrates the line: “Zigtech, my energy, Reebok“. He commented, “It’s a sports brand I like, so I was able to incorporate the concept of Zigtech ZigLite’s energy and actively participate in the shooting. I think I was able to express Zigtech ZigLite’s powerful brand image well.”
