[News] 2PM Nichkhun makes comeback after DUI

After a three-month hiatus following a drunk driving accident in July, Nichkhun is returning to television on an MBC program featuring Hallyu stars volunteering in Africa.

“Nichkhun joined fellow 2PM member Taecyeon and actors Lee Tae-ran and Park Seong-woong and left for Tanzania on Friday to take part in ‘Koica’s Dream”, MBC said in a statement.

The network emphasized that it had been pushing the idol group singer to join the program for some time before he agreed to participate.

Nichkhun will join five other Hallyu volunteers as well as a group of 23 volunteers from the Korean public on the trip.

The staff will return from Tanzania on Oct. 21 and the episode featuring the two 2PM members will air in November.

Last month, it was revealed that Nichkhun was indicted for driving under the influence and faced a 4 million won ($3,525) fine.

UV Concert Brings in 10,000 Fans! Luxury Guest Appearances Gain Attention

Duo UV’s concert of 10,000 fans were shocked at their concert.

10,000 fans attended UV’s concert on October 6 at an outdoor location.

They sang many of their hit songs as well as hit songs from the 90s as well. These older hit songs gained the attention of many people in their 20s and 30s.

There were also surprise guest appearances such as 2PM Wooyoung and Super Junior Kyuhyun.

After their concert, Yoo Sae Yoon posted on his twitter, “Wow! That was so much fun! We have fans too! We are all awesome! My throat hurts yet I am happy!”

They also commented, “Thanks to everyone that came out today! You all are going to come out to our last free concert tomorrow right?”

[News] TVXQ, 2PM, Go Ara and more attend Christian Dior’s Asian Film Market event

On October 8th, the United Asia Management collaborated with fashion brand Christian Dior to launch a special film event at the Chosun Hotel in Busan.

As Christian Dior is a longtime supporter of the film industry, the event was held in hopes of supporting Asia’s film market through partnerships with the Busan International Film Festival and the Asian Film Market. With support and donations, the event aimed to help in the discovery of new directorial talents. A donation ceremony was held for the Asia Project Market and the Asian Cinema Fund for the cause.

Attending the event included a number of United Asia Management artists like TVXQ, 2PM‘s Taecyeon and Chansung, Go Ara, Han Go Eun, and more.

United Asia Management sponsored a galla dinner with Christian Dior to give clients of the brand further opportunity to make donations, all of which will be used to further develop and advance the Korean film industry.

[News] 2PM to release postponed Japanese single “Masquerade” in November, have Japanese tour in Spring of 2013

2PM was originally scheduled to release their 5th Japanese single “Masquerade” on August 29th, but the date was unfortunately postponed due to Nichkhun‘s DUI incident. With the announcement of Nichkhun ending his hiatus, it seems 2PM will be also gearing up to restart their official Japanese activities.

On October 5th, 2PM’s official Japanese website was updated with news stating that “Masquerade” will be released in mid-November. Additionally, after the announcement of their global tour, it was revealed that 2PM will have a nationwide tour across Japan in the Spring of 2013.
