[News] 2PM’s Junho Takes 3 Spots on Tower Record’s Pre-Order Chart with Solo Album
Beginning his solo career on the right foot, 2PM’s Junho recently took over the pre-order charts in Japan.
Set for a July 24 release, Junho’s first solo album in Japan, Kimi no Koe opened for pre-orders. By July 29, all three versions of Kimi no Koe were spotted in the pre-order chart for Japan’s Tower Records, ranking in the first, third, and seventh spots.
“I was really surprised to hear that not only was the album was number one, but that all three versions ranked within Top 10 on Tower Records pre-order charts. I’m extremely happy, and I sincerely thank you for the big love. I will repay with great music that will fulfill your anticipation,” said Junho.
“I’m currently preparing for my first solo tour and I’m very excited for my first concert in Sapporo on July 9. Please continue cheering me one.”

2PM's Taecyeon finally explained his notorious past photo that's haunted him ever since he debuted.
During the May 30th broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Happy Together', the MC's talked about his fashion terrorist image. A past photo of Taecyeon where he looked older than his age while wearing his father's suit received the most attention.
Taecyeon explained, "Back in the States, I dressed like the characters in the SBS drama 'The Wild Days (The Age Of Gangsters)' . This was a drama that my parents and I enjoyed watching back then. The lead stars who wore suits looked so handsome that I borrowed my dad's suit and took the photo."
Fans commented, "Taecyeon's explanation for his past photo is also funny" and "It's good that he looks much better in a suit now."

During a recent filming for KBS 2TV's 'Full House', the question, "Before getting married, should you know about your spouse's past relationships?" brought different responses from the guests.
Taecyeon gave his opinion on the matter, commenting, "You should ask your girlfriend about who she dated in the past and why she broke up with them. Not because of jealousy, but just so I don't make the same mistake. My ex-girlfriend and I once opened up to each other about our entire dating history."
When asked if he has a girlfriend right now, Taecyeon made fan girls happy by sharing, "Because I have a busy schedule, I think it would be hard to date."

[News] 2PM continue to take over Japanese charts with "Give Me Love"
2PM have been dominating Japanese music charts, and their 6th Japanese single, "Give Me Love", is continuing the streak by topping the Tower Records and Oricon Daily Charts.
The dance track, "Give Me Love", which was unveiled through the TBS drama 'Take Five', generated a positive response from the Japanese public, rising to the #1 spot on Tower Records daily and pre-order charts as well as #2 on the Oricon daily chart with first day sales of 81,825 copies.
The coupling song, "Falling In Love", created by Jun.K, also grabbed the #1 spot on Recochoku's ringtone chart, proving that 2PM's popularity is still hot in Japan. Fellow member Junho also made his way to the top of Tower Records' pre-order chart with his upcoming solo album.
2PM will wrap up their Japanese promotions and return to Korea on the 30th.

[News] 2PM Casted in Lotte Duty Free Commercial
For the new Lotte Duty Free commercial, the company has decided to again include male Kpop group 2PM into their line up of Hallyu stars. Lotte is Korea’s premier shopping megastore, and its Duty Free line, the default destination for tourists to Korea.
Lotte Duty Free was proud to spread the news through a press conference that 2PM will be in the company of many Korean stars such as actor-singer Jang Keun Suk, actor-singer Kim Hyun Joong, actor Song Seung Hun, actress Choi Ji-woo, K-pop group Super Junior, K-pop boy band CHOSHINSUNG, actor Hyun Bin, and Taiwanese actress Lin Chin Ling.
The theme of the commercial is to have the members of 2PM travelling and exploring the different regions of the world, some of which include Europe, China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. In the commercial music video, their shots will keep in tune with the other stars.
Before the actual debut of the commercial, there will be interviews and online clips of the 2PM members discussing about it. The actual music video will be released some time in August of this year, and it will be posted on YouTube.
The head of marketing at Lotte Duty Free, Kim Bo-jun, released a statement saying Lotte Duty Free will arrive at China and Southeast Asia in spite of of national limitations because of the image of the “Lotte Duty Free Family.”

2PM appeared as guests on KBS talk show, 'Hello.'
During the show, one of the hosts of the show, Lee Young Ja told Taecyeon, "You are driving me crazy."
The talk show, which invites non-celebrity guests to bring a personal topic of discussion to share and discuss with celebrity guests, featured a wife who had serious concerns over her husband's 23-year-old car. The wife complained, "We have never gone on a road trip because the car is so old. Of course, the air conditioner does not work and there are water leaks on rainy days."
2PM chimed in on their experience being attached to things. Taecyeon answered, "I have a hard time tossing out fashion items even if they are too old or no longer useful," looking at Lee Young Ja. Then she interrupted, "Taecyeon, I am sorry but please continue your story looking at someone else. You are driving me crazy," revealing her fan girl side for Taecyeon.
Later on the show, Taecyeon showed his caring side when he picked off a piece of lint from one of the guests' hair. Seeing that, Shin Dong Yeob, one of the co-hosts, stuck a pencil in Lee Young Ja's hair and asked him, "Please take that off Lee Young Ja's hair, too," filling the studio in laughter.

On the last episode of “We Got Married: Global Edition,” 2PM’s Taecyeon had a chance to express how he really felt about his pretend wife, Gui Gui. Dressed up in a suit and tie, he serenaded her, playing their song on the piano. Then he knelt down and proposed. The romantic gesture brought her to tears.
The sincerity of his proposal changed the way she thought about him,said the Taiwanese singer and actress at a press conference following the show. And all his romantic gestures have changed her picture of South Korean men.
“At first he felt like a good friend, but after the proposal, it felt like we became a real couple,” said Gui Gui.
Although it was not always easy for them to communicate their feelings, his considerate actions and romantic gestures finally won her over.
Gui Gui said Taecyeon really looked out for her while they were filming. He helped remove a speck from her eye. He bought her cocoa and flowers. When she saw a pair of silver shoes that she liked, he returned to the store to buy them for her. When told they were the display model and not for sale, he talked the store owner into selling them. He presented them to Gui Gui and knelt down before her and like Prince Charming slipped them on to her feet.
And then finally he wrote her a romantic letter. In the letter he said that when he first saw her, he felt a connection. He was pleased at how happy he made her when he presented her with the shoes. When they played together in the snow, he felt as happy as a little kid.
Did she feel something for him? Did the fact that she could not look directly at him or laughed when he got close to her mean she felt something for him?
”I did my best to express my true feelings,” said Taecyeon at his own press conference. “I think I expressed them well. I think this proposal was the key to opening each other’s hearts.”
Would such a marriage really work? Taecyeon is quiet and reserved. Gui Gui is spontaneous and enthusiastic. When asked earlier in the show if he would date her in real life, he said yes. She could not see them dating due to cultural differences, but that did not necessarily mean she was not attracted to him. When asked if they could imagine skin ship with each other, he said no, and she shocked him by saying yes. And yet they managed to kiss three times.

A female middle school student who appeared on KBS talk show, 'Hello,' along with the members of 2PM was just that. She was brutally honest.
The teen requested to get on the talk show to make an official complaint about her dad who forces her to live by a set schedule at all times and all costs.
After a brief introduction, she sheepishly said hello to the members of 2PM in an unusual coolness that is rare for teenage girls in the presence of idol stars.
Asked whether she is a fan of 2PM, the honest teen replied, "No, I like B1A4," prompting a huge laughter at the recording studio and putting the 2PM members to shame.
The brutally honest middle school student ended up winning the best episode on the show.

Fans maybe have to start preparing to work, because 2PM’s Jun.K’s ideal woman is a career woman.
On May 27, Jun.K appeared on Mnet’s The Beatles Code with the other 2PM members, where he shared about his ideal woman.
“I tend to fall in love with the image of a woman working during the day,” said Jun.K.
While talking, Jun.K made an odd hand gesture, making the MC wonder what kind of woman Jun.K was talking about.
Super Junior’s Shindong hilariously said, “You keep saying you like a girl that works, but your hand gestures made it seem like the girl was lying down.”

Already known to be talented in songwriting, Junho was put in charge of his solo album’s productions. He has also participated in everything from music video to choreography.
“I’ve had self-written songs in 2PM’s singles and albums before, but this is the first time I’m producing an entire album, so I’m very nervous,” said Junho. “I’m extremely excited to get to show music and performances of ‘Junho’ that is different from ‘2PM’s Junho.’ Please anticipate it! ".

On the May 27 episode of KBS 2TV's 'Hello', a woman came out to complain about her overprotective younger brother, revealing that he crossed the line when it came to her personal life. A mother-in-law was so frustrated with her daughter-in-law that she dragged her on to the May 27th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Hello'!
The daughter-in-law was a 2PM fan (more specifically, a fan of Junho), and her mother-in-law had no problem with it. In fact, the mother-in-law herself said she liked Taecyeon and Nichkhun. However, the problem was that her daughter even went as far as lying to her family, so she could follow Junho around.
Even though the woman has three children, she lied to her mother-in-law and went all the way to Japan to see 2PM. Not only that, but her entire room is filled with photos of Junho. The mother-in-law said, "Once, she didn't come back until 3AM because she was watching a concert. She buys everything Junho advertises. She even went to their Japanese concert after she lied to me."
However, the daughter-in-law was all smiles as she commented, "I feel good just looking at Junho smile," and showed just how obsessed she was by listing everything in his schedule.

Well it looks like in terms of who makes the most money, Nichkhun is really a prince! 2PM revealed that Nichkhkun makes the most money out of the 2PM members! On the May 27 broadcast of Mnet’s “Beatle’s Code 2,” 2PM and Dick Punks will reveal the members of their respective groups that make the most money.
For the broadcast, 2PM’s Junho, Chansung, and Jun.K appeared alongside Dick Punks. When asked who made the most money in 2PM, the 2PM members answered Nichkhun. They added, “Nichkhun makes the most money because he has a lot of solo activities in Thailand.”
Chansung added, “Actually, even though there is a difference it doesn’t amount to much, so it is hard to make an accurate ranking.” Junho added, “In the past, the members split up the money that individual members made through their activities. However, the members requested for a change, so our payment calculation has changed accordingly.”
Kim Tae Hyun of Dick Punks stated that they will know how much they are getting paid in July, so they do not know who made the most money yet.

[News] 2PM Nichkhun’s Mother Apologizes for DUI Incident and Thanks Fans
Although plenty of apologies have been made by the 2PM member himself, Nichkhun’s mother felt the need to apologize once more for her son’s actions.
On May 26’s broadcast of KBS’ Mamma Mia, Nichkhun appeared as a guest with his mother from Thailand. During the broadcast, Nichkhun’s mother addressed her son’s previous DUI incident.
“As Nichkhun’s mother, I want to apologize for disappointing the fans with an unfortunate event that happened unintentionally,” said Nichkhun’s mother. “I hope that you can all think of it as giving Nichkhun a chance to become a better person and give him lots of love and interest once again.”
Nichkhun stated that he learned a lot from his mistake, especially after volunteering. He believed that everything happened so that he could become a better person.

2AM held a fansigning with their fans a few days ago, and now it was 2PM's turn!
The boys held two events on the 25th and 26th with 200 lucky fans who were selected after purchasing their albums. Fans all over Asia including Japan and Taiwan flew over just for a chance to see the boys. And the language barrier didn't matter at all, because the members had no problem speaking in 4 different languages including Korean, English, Japanese, and Thai.
And it wasn't just the selected fans who came out to see 2PM. Fans who weren't fortunate to be chosen still gathered around the venue just to get a glimpse of the members. 2PM were touched by their passion and even had a little surprise live performance for everyone.
2PM said, "We had a great time where we were able to see and talk with every single person who loved us. We were surprised because so many fans came from overseas. We're so thankful to everyone for coming, and we'll give back by having a great promotion. Thank you."

[News] 2PM open up about coming out of J.Y. Park's shadow and rock the stage on 'Sketchbook'
It's no secret that HOTTESTs have missed 2PM during the long wait. The boys came to 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' to share behind-the-scenes stories and perform for all of you who waited!
During their interview, 2PM revealed the story of how Jun.K was originally a 2AM member and 2AM's Jo Kwon was originally a 2PM member. The group also shared how surprised they were that J.Y. Park made an acronym for the title of their title track, "A.D.T.O.Y.", after he previously expressed his dislike of acronyms.
Taecyeon and Wooyoung brought their unique talents, and the 'beastly idols' shared how much they've 'grown' musically with their active involvement in composing, writing, and singing for their new album, making each song their own to break out of the standard JYP-esque music.

[News] 2PM Talks about the Hard Work It Puts Into Its Bodies
So of course, it's not only girl idols that have to go on diets and try to stop themselves from overeating.
The 2PM members recently spoke about keeping up their muscular bodies in an interview with the June issue of the fashion magazine @star1.
Wooyoung said, "I try to avoid eating normal foods. I try to eat salads and eggs often, and I exercise regularly. It's not that I really plan my workouts, though. To be honest, when I have something I really want, I try to keep myself but I end up eating it in the end. When I find the food is still where I can see it three hours later, I just think it's meant to be and eat it."
On manliness, Chansung said, "I once thought that being manly meant you had to be rough. Now, though, I think differently. Rather than artificial roughness, real manliness comes from maturing naturally. A real man understands many things, and can hold all that in."

[News] Which Label Mate Taught 2PM Nichkhun Swear Words?
On a recent episode of KBS 2TV program ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’, 2PM's Nichkhun revealed that his label mate Seulong of 2AM taught him Korean swear words.
Nichkhun revealed that during his trainee days, Taecyeon would helped him a lot when it came to learning the Korean Language. He said “When I came to South Korea, the language was a total stranger to me, but Taecyeon helped me by being my translator". He then continued "Not just in the language, but he also taught me a lot about the Korean culture”.
Afterwards MC Yoo Hee Yeol, asked if Taeyeon had ever taught him any swear words in Korean, to which Nichkhun answered “The swear words were taught to me by Im Seulong”.
