2PM member Taecyeon has become a detective in the new tvN drama “Who Are You – 2013”
He takes on the role of Cha Gun-woo and left a strong impression on the first episode. He’s the biggest problem in the police department but unlikely to hate because he’s always so hardworking and full of passion for his job.
His partner So I-hyeon (Yang Si-on) and him get along very well and their team work stood out from the very first episode.

Veteran actor Ahn Nae Sang showered praises on 2PM's Chansung!
The two had worked together in '7th Grade Civil Servant', and Ahn Nae Sang spoke up about his experience with the idol on 'Baek Ji Yeon's People Inside'. First, he watched a video message Chansung sent him where the idol said, "Before we started filming, he gave me a special lesson. He told me, 'I think the character Gong Do Ha should be like this', and gave me personal lessons. He was so kind to me. I was so thankful, and he's a sunbaenim I respect."
After the video, Ahn Nae Sang confessed, "At first, I found approaching Chansung difficult because he was an idol. But he's a really nice guy. I thought he'd be cocky being an idol group member and a hallyu star, but he was actually very polite and sincere. He is the type of person who has the ability to make you feel good. After filming, we kept talking and even texted each other. Even though it was his first time acting, he acted very well. [News] So Who′s the Highest Ranking Police Officer in 2PM?
In his recent film Cold Eyes, 2PM member Junho took on the role of an outgoing ace member in the police surveillance section.
Taecyeon said about Junho, "I actually haven't been able to watch Cold Eyes yet, but I'm feeling pressure because Junho's doing so well. I need to work harder. I didn't share advice with Junho, but since we're both policemen we joked about which one is higher in rank."
He added, "Actually, Chansung is highest in rank because he was in the drama 7th Grade Civil Servant."
Taecyeon appears in Who Are You as Cha Geon Woo, a detective. He is a delinquient police agent, but is always enthusiastic toward solving cases.
The singer showed his determination toward his first acting role in two years since KBS2's Cinderella's Sister and Dream High.
"I'm honored I'll be able to appear before you with such a great piece," he said. "I've been pressured because it's my first lead role, but I've also been working hard. It's different from the other pieces I've acted in, and I'm trying to make it one that I won't be embarrassed of when I look back on it in the future."
Who Are You is about a woman named Si On (So E Hyun), who wakes up after a six-year coma to find she can see ghosts, and Geon Woo, a man who only believes what he can see. The two will attempt to help spirits attached to objects at a lost and found center rest in piece.
The drama's first episode will air on July 29.

[News] 2PM′s Junho Takes Over Music and Acting Across Korea and Japan
2PM's Junho has been bombing J-Pop, while at the same time taking over the big screen in Korea.
On July 24, the singer released his first solo album Kimi no Koe in Japan, landing on no. 1 in Tower Records' charts and no. 3 on Oricon's daily chart. For Tower Records, he stayed on the top for two days in a row.
Kimi no Koe was produced by Junho himself with all songs composed and lyricized by him, adding more meaning to the success of his album.
He has been touring Japan since July 9, going through Sapporo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo.
In Korea, on the other hand, he's successfully debuted on the big screen through the film Cold Eyes, gathering a 4.5 million audience.
Junho said through his agency to enews on July 26 about his success, "I'm so thankful and happy to hear the good news, made able thanks to your great love. I'll make sure to do my best to repay that love. Thank you again."
Junho will next perform at his solo concert in Tokyo from July 29-31.

2PM Junho's Japanese solo debut mini-album, 'Kimi no Koe' ('Your Voice'), has charted high on Japan's Tower Records and Oricon charts!
Immediately after the release of 'Kimi no Koe' on the 24th, the album reigned at #1 on Tower Records Daily Chart for two consecutive days as well as #3 on the Oricon Daily Chart.
Junho shared, "I am beyond grateful and happy to hear such good news on top of all the love I'm getting from so many people. In return, I'll become a Junho who always does his best. Thank you once again."

Ok Taecyeon, the attack of a handsome, rich, and tall guy
A handsome appearance, an idol personality, American-born* (note: he grew up in America, but was born in Korea, so this is not correct), highly educated, grew up in a family with high education - in the Korean entertainment industry appears another 'tall, handsome, rich' guy Ok Taecyeon. He debuted in 2008 as a member of 2PM and rose to stardom immediately as a beast idol. In 2013, he's everywhere - the TaecGui pairing in 'We Got Married Global' was popular, 2PM’s new album was selling like hot cakes, his new drama 'Who Are You', and his debut movie 'Marriage Blues' are also about to be released.
1) Who Are You: an awkward policeman
The drama that Taecyeon stars in, 'Who Are You', is about to air on July 29th. In this thriller drama that involves the cracking of mysteries, Taecyeon acts as a policeman who only trusts things only after he witnesses and touches it. He was originally on difficult terms with his co-star, So Yi Hyun, who's acting as a policewoman who can see souls. But after understanding each other, both of them developed mutual feelings.
Although he debuted as a singer, Taecyeon’s acting career has been rather smooth-sailing. He acted in 'Cinderella’s Sister' in 2010 and co-starred with Moon Geun Young. That time, Moon Geun Young felt that Taecyeon wouldn't take acting seriously and even openly opposed to him joining the cast. However, after finishing filming, she was in awe. The show eventually clinched high viewership and the both of them evolved into good friends.
In 'Who Are You', Taecyeon is paired up with So Yi Hyun, who is four years older than him. The pairing wasn't favored by fans, but after the romantic preview that featured them playing in the water as though they were really a pair and the towel kiss, the fans were sold and many people started looking forward to the drama. The director mentioned that 'Who Are You' talks about a love story related to souls, which makes it different than other dramas. The relationship between So Yi Hyun and Taecyeon is rather cliché, from constantly bickering to falling in love with each other. The transformation is rather interesting. Taecyeon has also put in a lot of effort in the drama and many fans will be lucky to witness him wearing the policeman uniform this summer.
2) We Got Married Global: A sweet caring lover
Be it his looks or his body, Ok Taecyeon is often seen as a beast idol. He is dubbed as the number one beast in the idol world, ripping his shirt on stage often. However, in MBC’s We Got Married Global, people start to realize that behind his strong exterior, he's actually a rather sweet caring lover. He constantly cares for his mischievous 'wife' Gui Gui. During their first meeting at a ski lodge, he observed that Gui Gui was constantly tripping. So he held her hand to keep her from falling. Also, when he saw that Gui Gui’s gloves were wet from the perpetual tripping, he immediately removed her gloves and placed her hands into his pockets. The relationship doesn't look scripted at all and felt natural, causing many viewers to fall in love with them. [News] 2PM Junho's 'Cold Eyes' Selected For Toronto International Fim Festival
2PM's Junho wowed fans in Korea with his performance in the crime thriller Cold Eyes, and now the film is headed overseas to the Toronto International Film Festival.
Also starring Sol Kyung-gu, Jung Woo Sung, and Han Hyo Joo, Cold Eyes follows the story of a highly specialized police surveillance team as they try to take down a group of criminals.
The film opened in theaters across South Korea on July 3 and was met with critical acclaim and has attracted more than four million viewers, making it the fourth most-watched Korean film this year.
And now the movie is slated to debut abroad at the Toronto International Film Festival.
According to 1st Look, the film's promoter, in a press release on Wednesday, Cold Eyes has been invited to the 38th annual Canadian film festival and will be a part of the main Gala Presentations section from September 5-15.
The Gala Presentations is the primary showcase of films at the festival and includes a red carpet event with actors, directors, and producers from around the world.
It has been announced that the film's directors and starring cast, including Junho, will attend the TIFF this year.
Cold Eyes is the third Korean movie to show at the Toronto festival as a Gala Presentation. In 2008, The Good, The Bad, and The Weird, also starring Jung Woo Sung, was the first and The Housemaid was selected in 2010.
The film festival's Asian programmer, Giovanna Fulvi, attended the VIP premiere event of Cold Eyes in Seoul and was captivated by the movie saying it was "interesting and intense" and reportedly watched it twice despite having a tight schedule.

[News] 2PM Taecyeon's fans from all over the world donate 6,790 lbs of rice for his drama 'Who Are You'
Taecyeon's fans from all over the world gathered together to donate 3.08 tons (approximately 6,790 lbs) of rice for the idol!
tvN's 'Who Are You' had its press conference at the Seoul Yeongdeung-po CGV, and fans from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Peru donated 154 bags of 20kg rice for a total of 3.08 tons.
This is enough to feed 25,000 people for a day, and Taecyeon will be sending it to the 2PM G+ Starzone to help children in need.
As mentioned before, the paranormal melodrama will portray the love story of Si On(So Yi Hyun), who wakes up after a 6-year coma and starts to see ghosts, and Cha Gun Woo(Taecyeon), the realist cop who ends up working with her.

Interviewer (I): Usually, you look very cool but on Twitter, you're constantly being called cute!
Junho (JH): If I can use a sentence to describe my personality, it'll be cold on the outside and warm on the inside. *laughs* I'm really shy, so even in happy situations, I'll act like nothing's happening. Even when I'm receiving compliments, I compose myself to look very calm even though I'm beyond ecstatic on the inside. My fans told me that my usual tweets sound very cold so I start to change how I tweet by using cuter tone while writing them. My flaw will probably be that I can't control my feelings all that well. When the people around me are really happy, I might be sad or when I'm really happy and excited, they'll be really quiet. Although, when it comes to composing, I feel that that flaw becomes an advantage.
Sometimes I really want to stay at home and rest, but once I'm home, I'm really productive *bitter laugh*
Even during my free days, I'm writing songs. This is actually my way of playing and relaxing. Ahh... but I have a group of friends that I meet up with for bowling games whenever we're free. Bowling arenas in Korea usually play club songs, so I'm pretty happy about that. However, most of the time, I'm the one turning down their invitation to bowl and my friends will tease me, "You're always acting busy!" *laughs* There's also something that bugs me. Sometimes I get really busy and I just want to go home and rest, but once I'm home, I'm really productive. This is ridiculous! It's hard on me, but I'm actually okay with it. So instead of resting, I listen to music or watch some TV shows to immerse myself in a cultured lifestyle.
I'm working very hard... so I can fulfill my dream of buying myself a small plane!
Initially, during 2PM's debut, I was quite uncertain of my position and I just hope that as a 2PM member, we'll all succeed. But now during my solo debut, I want to fulfill my dream of clinching the first place in ORICON charts and having solo concerts in Tokyo Dome. My personal dreams will undoubtedly be to rent a speedboat in Okinawa and steer it out to the sea. I'm I'm love with all kinds of transportation methods, so I really want to earn myself a pilot license then I'll buy myself one small plane!
Even if I'm really busy, if my girlfriend calls me out at night, I'll still rush there for her.
I'm the kind of person who will fall hopelessly and deeply in love once I have a girlfriend. No matter how busy I am, if my girlfriend calls me out at night, I'll definitely go out to meet her. My charm will probably be my Adam's apple. During my 3rd year in junior high, two girls said that my Adam's apple is really sexy. I was quite intrigued to find out that they're talking about my Adam's apple and not my face! But I was still pretty happy and thanked the girls. *laughs* If I have a girlfriend now, I'll write a song just for her and sing it to her, isn't that good? *laughs*

unho (JH): I found out through a phone call in the car where I was asked, "What do you think about it (going on a solo debut)?" I answered immediately with, "I have to do it." Concering the solo debut, I wasn't particularly worried because I just wanted to work on it as soon as possible and I was just overflowing with ideas. And now I'm really happy that my dream of having a solo Zepp Tour is coming true!
I: Songs, music videos, album covers, outfits.... How did you go about dealing with them?
JH: While producing the songs, I had to know myself well enough and see myself from a different point of view. I also asked my friends and people around me about my strengths and had them evaluate me. This helped me decide what I wanted to do for the album. The theme for this album is easy-going, liberating, and free. So for my outfits, I chose something that fits my style.
I: In this album, what are your favorite songs?
JH: Kimi No Koe and I Love You
I: What's your hobby?
JH: Riding a bicycle.
I: What brands do you like?
JH: Balmain, Rick Owens and Givenchy.
I: Compared to the last time we saw you, Junho seems to show more maturity. Why is this so?
JH: I'm not sure either. But after touring around the world for concerts with 2PM, I was able to expand my horizons and learn to be better on stage. Through that period, there were tough times. The combined experiences allowed me to learn a lot and grow.
I: What's your motto in life?
JH: "There will be a day when your sincerity will be understood." There are times when you can't immediately express your sincerity but if you constantly do so, people will definitely see and learn from it someday. I really like that sentence because it not only applies to love and work, but also my relationship with my fans and friends. I constantly apply this motto to my life.
I: Among the Japanese fans, Junho has the title 'Emperor', do you know of that?
JH: Yes. *laughs* I may look like one, I guess, but I'm actually really humble and simple! *laughs*
I: What do you hope for the 2nd part of the year?
JH: For it to be my year. *laughs*

1) キミの声 (Kimi No Koe)
In the car, on the way back to the hotel from the concert, I couldn't forget the fans' screams of support, and my heart was still beating fast. So I translated the feelings into words and melodies. This song is for the fans. I'm trying to convey the message that wherever I may be, I will never forget the fans' supports and their love for me.
2) Like a star
This song is akin to the meaning of 'Like a star, like a sun that shines on you.' The lyrics shows that even though things may be tough, but because I'm by your side protecting you, all the obstacles and hardships can be overcome. This song is perfect for love and/or friendship.
3) 目を閉じて (Close Your Eyes)
This song has a hint of sexiness. I wanted to write a song that was one of a kind and is different from the songs I always perform with the female dancers during concerts.
4) Good bye
This song paints a picture of a lake in the night, with nothing around it except the bright full moon shining over it. It's meant to depict loneliness. The song is about two lovers separating from each other.
5) I Love You
Spring and summer are arriving. Walking past blissful couples in the middle of a myriad of cherry blossoms, I felt inspired to write this song. This song expresses the feelings of first love, which is pure but peppered with tinge of nervousness and excitement.
6) Heartbreaker (Ver. B)
The theme for this song is bad boy. I didn't entirely participate in the making of this song but I suggested quite a lot of ideas for it since I wanted to sing it like a bad boy.
7) I'm in love, Japanese version (Ver. B)
I wrote this song for 2PM, but as I was writing it, I felt the need to place this song in my solo album. The story of this song is about how a guy, who finds no meaning in his life, met a lady, who was very different from other ladies he's ever met. And ever since then, the guy found meaning in his life. The song expresses a guy's feelings of never wanting to let his lady leave.
8) Say yes, 2013 Tokyo Dome Live Version (Ver. B)
I wrote this song for the tour earlier this year. The song is a rock song, which is different from 2PM's image. It's about expressing your affection for your partner and hoping to receive a YES as the answer. This song is youthful and vibrant, which made me have the idea of wearing a uniform while singing it.

[News] 2PM Chansung pays approximately $430 USD for the losing 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education' team
2PM's Chansung paid 480,000 KRW (approximately $430 USD) for the 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education' team!
On the July 23 episode of the show, the panel divided into two teams and had a quiz game with the losing team having to pay for lunch for the entire staff. In the end, Kang Ho Dong's team lost to Lee Man Ki's team, meaning that Kang Ho Dong, Chansung, ZE:A's Dongjun, and Lee Jong Soo had to pay 480,000 KRW for 80 bowls of jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) and 10 plates of tangsuyuk (sweet & sour crispy beef or pork).
As members of Kang Ho Dong's team didn't want to pay, the team decided to have a battle to make only one person pay. Unfortunately, in the end Chansung lost. He coolly took his card out to pay for all the food, and the staff came up and said, "You can split half the costs with the staff".
However, Chansung replied, "It's okay. Please use it for a better cause", and paid for everything himself.

[News] 2PM Taecyeon reveals his kiss scene with Suzy took 8 hours to film
After being dubbed as So Yi Hyun's most 'professional' kissing partner, 2PM's Taecyeon revealed he had plenty of experience especially with his 'Dream High' co-star Suzy.
On the July 22nd broadcast of 'Taxi', Taecyeon shared, "Up until now, I've filmed a kiss scene with Suzy and Lee Yeon Hee, whom I filmed a movie with that will premiere at the end-of-the-year. When I filmed my kiss scene with Suzy, it was my first kiss scene so I worried about how I should go about it. We ended up filming that kiss scene for close to 8 hours."
When the MCs gasped in surprise, Taecyeon revealed why it took so long as he said, "We filmed it in a ferris wheel so the camera crew had to film it inside, outside, and far away."
Kim Gu Ra added, "When it is filmed far away, you don't have to keep kissing right?", Taecyeon replied, "You can hardly see it. But yeah we still did it anyways," leaving Suzy's fanboys fuming with envy.
