[News] Agency mates 2PM Taecyeon and Park Joo Hyung head to Busan to practice their dialect for 'Very Good Days'
2PM's Taecyeon and actor Park Joo Hyung, who are JYP agency mates, are reportedly both getting ready to greet viewers with Busan satoori or dialect for KBS 2TV's new drama 'Very Good Days'.
As the drama takes place in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongju, the actors will be using the satoori associated with the region. Taecyeon, who previously used dialect on 'Cinderella Sister', brushed up on his accent by conversing with old friends in his hometown of Busan for a few days. Park Joo Hyung, who is from Seoul and does not use the dialect, also stayed in a guest house in Busan to learn how to speak with the accent and slang of the region from the natives.
A JYP Entertainment rep told Star News on the 29th, "In the case of Taecyeon, because he is from Busan and uses satoori, there are no difficulties... Taecyeon is learning from observing the acting and the small details of Ryu Seung Soo, whom he stars with as brothers."
'Very Good Days' will take viewers on the life journey of a man who grows up poor but ends up becoming a successful prosecutor and returns to his hometown 15 years later.
The drama will premiere following the conclusion of 'The Wang Family' on February 22 at 7:55 PM KST!

[News] 2PM's third Japanese album 'Genesis of 2PM' tops Oricon's daily chart on the day of its release
2PM released their third Japanese studio album 'Genesis of 2PM' on January 29 in Japan. Proving the boys' soaring popularity, the album managed to top Oricon's daily album chart within the same day!
Even before the album release, six of the songs included took first place on the ringtone site Recochoku, so it comes as no surprise that the album release was also well received.
2PM said, "We were unable to hide our happiness when we heard our album took first place on Oricon's chart. We really thank you for the lots of love and we will try harder to become a 2PM that works more diligently and does its best. We thank all of those who always give us love and support."
Meanwhile, 2PM started an arena tour on January 27 in Nagoya and will head to Yokohama from January 31 to February 2.

2PM's Wooyoung and Park Se Young looked back on their first 'We Got Married' episode, but the conversation went a completely different way.
On the January 25th installment, the two were on a train ride to Chuncheon province for their honeymoon when they started discussing the first episode that aired. Park Se Young said, "I was exercising, so I didn't meet anyone. I watched it by myself later."
Wooyoung suddenly asked, "Where do you exercise? Which gym and how?" He then found out that Park Se Young has a male personal trainer, which he wasn't too fond of.
He said jokingly, "When are you going to quit?"
It looks like Wooyoung's already getting jealous!

2PM has landed the cover of the Japanese fashion magazine 'CanCam'!
The magazine is a famous Japanese fashion magazine founded in 1982. It's so popular that it even created what's called the 'CanCam boom', and 2PM got the honor of becoming the first Koreans to land its cover page!
They're actually the first male artist on the cover as well since 2001. 'CanCam' said, "Since the first time we learned of 2PM, their scale was incredible. We wanted to express 2PM's unique overwhelming mood and their masculinity and sexiness on the entire page."

The moment many of you have been waiting for has finally arrived, 2PM's Wooyoung and Park Se Young started their newlywed life on January 11th's 'We Got Married'!
Before they met, the two stars discussed their ideal types with the producers. Park Se Young said, "I like nice guys. I would like him to be a guy who has an open mind. I have a slightly darker skin tone, so it would be nice if he was more tan than I am," while Wooyoung revealed, "I'd like her to be a pure and innocent style. I like short, wavy hair. I'd like to marry the kind of woman who I don't know what to expect from next."
Maybe it was because Park Se Young is a year older than him, but Wooyoung was definitely the more nervous of the two. The actress and idol star met in a cafe, and Wooyoung shared his first impression of her, saying, "Park Se Young has big eyes. I think those eyes dominated me."

2PM's Wooyoung got fans talking by revealing that Park Se Young is close to his ideal type!
During the press conference for 'We Got Married' held at Pogogeup, Yonginsi, Gyeonggido on January 9th, Wooyoung was asked if Park Se Young is close to his ideal type. He made a big circle with both of his arms and answered, "For me, she is very close," adding "We only did one filming and we will get to know each other, but my first impression [of her] was good... My members were all excited for me."
Wooyoung also shared that he seeks advice from 'We Got Married' alumni Nichkhun and Taecyeon, "I'm always asking them. I also share a lot of stories with my members. I am personally looking forward to it."

[News] 35 celebrities lose lawsuit against plastic surgery clinic for alleged commercial usage of their photos
It has been revealed that 35 celebrities lost a damage suit against a plastic surgery clinic for allegedly violating the celebrities' right of publicity by using their names and photos for commercial purposes.
The Seoul Central District Court stated on the 8th, "In January of last year, Jang Dong Gun, Song Hye Gyo, Kim Nam Gil, and more filed a damage suit against a plastic surgery clinic director Mr. Cho in Gangnam, Seoul and have lost the case." It has been revealed that Wonder Girls, 2PM, TVXQ, Super Junior, and Girls' Generation are also among the idol groups who filed a claim for damages for the commercial usage of their names and photos without permission.
The court explained that there was not enough evidence as they stated, "Rights of publicity are needed for the growth of the entertainment and advertisement industry as well as increase in disputes concerning advertisements... However, as there are no legal regulations, it is hard to acknowledge rights of publicity... There needs to be specific legal evidence for us to acknowledge it, such as validated and protected rights of publicity."
"Even if their rights of publicity were to be acknowledged, considering the photos posted up for the plastic surgery clinic's promotional and separate categories, it is difficult to prove that they earned profit from it... We can't see it as a violation of the plaintiffs' right of publicity."

Looks like 2PM's Taecyeon is not liking what's going on at his management agency, JYP Entertainment. On January 3, 2014, Taecyeon left numerous tweets on his Twitter accountexplaining his thoughts.
Taecyeon tweeted regarding about "recognition" in-terms of "distribution among JYP employees." Also, he explained how the "company is run."
So, you think everything is pleasant and that everyone is happy even though it is the largest and well known agency in South Korea? Looks like it is not and Taecyeon is here to explain his thoughts.
Taecyeon's first tweet stated, "If you promote someone who did not even help or manage things, what does that make those who stayed by my side to help and manage? Did you make a choice based on good understanding? Even I, as a celebrity, in the company do not understand this so would the fans of the company be understanding? JYP needs a reformation in 2014."
It seems, Taecyeon, who sees what goes on inside the agency thinks that people are getting promoted even though they do not deserve it because either they did not help nor manage anything.
He then did another tweet, "The company needs to reform to become one in which people do not just insert the hours they worked but actually work hard. The entertainment company does not even entertain its employees, so how could it satisfy the public? Whether or not the company is in the top three, it is time to not attach great importance to that title and ensure internal stability."
Finally for his last tweet, Taecyeon explained, "If our company wants to aim to be the best once again in 2014, I think it might not be only in the power of the producers but also in the power of the company's employees. For the unappreciated JYP staffs who deserve the actual credit."
Taecyeon seems to be looking for staffs to gain appreciation and get credit for what they do. For Taecyeon, it seems rather unfair that staffs are being unappreciated for all of the hard work they do.

[News] 2PM Taecyeon Apologizes For His Tweet About JYP Entertainment
2PM's member Taecyeon wrote a demeaning post about his agency JYP Entertainment on his Twitter, becoming an issue.
This morning, Taecyeon posted on his Twitter, "If someone who did not even help or care gets a promotion, what do the people who had been helping me and caring for me become, and was this a decision that we could easily understand? Will fans understand a company that even artists in it like I can't understand? 2014, JYP needs a reformation."
He continued, "We have a need to become a company that you just don't clock in and clock out of but a company that you really want to work for. If people working for this entertainment are not entertained, how can we entertain the public? Without thinking about how we are one of the top 3 entertainment companies in this country, we need to really look deep into the issue. Giving our best in 2014 not only takes the producer's effort but also the employees'."
But when this post became an issue, Taecyeon deleted his post and apologized for it.
He said, "I found it inappropriate for me to publicly write about the administration of our company. It was just out of my pure passion for JYP to be the best company it can be, so please be understanding. I will be a Taecyeon that better communicates with the company and tries his best."

[News] 2PM’s Wooyoung and Park Se Young Confirmed as New Couple for ‘We Got Married 4’!
Idol group 2PM's Wooyoung and actress Park Se Young were confirmed as the new couple for "We Got Married 4."
According to multiple sources, Wooyoung and Park Se Young will be stepping in to take the place of SHINee's Taemin and A Pink's Son Naeun, who are leaving the show.
One rep stated, "The two look really good together. Taemin and Son Naeun showed a fantastic chemistry, and we're looking forward to see what kind of chemistry the new couple will bring to the show."
The new couple will have their first meeting on Friday afternoon near Seoul, and commence their first filming. It'll be the first time the two are filming together.
Currently there are two active couples on the show: Lee So Yeon-Yoon Han and Jung Joon Young-Jung Yoo Mi. Wooyoung-Park Se Young will most likely be joining the others mid-January.

The 2013 MBC Gayo Daejaejun took place on the night of December 30 to celebrate another successful
year of K-Pop. Forty-two groups separated into two rival teams, Blue and White, to see which one would come out on top.
The Blue Team consisted of A Pink, B1A4, Block B, Crayon Pop, Rainbow, B.A.P, Sul Woon Do, Park Hyun Bin, Ladies' Code, After School, ZE:A, K.Will, 2PM, EXO, Paran, SHINee, SECRET, CNBLUE, KARA, and MBC Birth of A Great Star's Son Jin Young, Park Soo Jin, and Han Dong Geun.
The White Team was comprised of Girl's Day, Dal Shabet, Ailee, VIXX, BTOB, BTS (Bangtan Boys), T-ara, SISTAR, Teen Top, 4minute, IU, f(x), Girls' Generation, B2ST, miss A, and INFINITE.
In the end, the Blue Team won with almost 150,000 votes while White Team garnered 125,000. Regardless, congratulations to both teams for working hard this year and achieving many great things!
