[News] ‘2PM Subway’ runs in Japan.. Realizes popularity


[OSEN=Lee Hye Rin] 2PM is realizing their hot local popularity by releasing their 8th Japanese single album, ‘GO CRAZY’ on 17th.

They raised expectation toward their new single album by ranking no. 1 in daily and weekly charts of RecoChoku which is Japanese maximum ringtone site with the release of the pre-released track ‘Fight’ on August 24th. Their title song ‘GO CRAZY’ also ranked no. 1 in the daily chart of RecoChoku which is Japanese maximum ringtone site when they pre-released it on last 15th.

They also ranked among various charts such as ranking 1st, 5th, and 7th at the 14th daily booking chart of TOWER RECORDS.

They also has proceeded large-scale promotion by reflecting the high popularity and interest toward the album in the local area.

The streets of fashion and youth of the main streets in Tokyo such as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akasaka, and Omotesando are making headlines as it is called as ‘2PM Street’ among fans since 52 signs of 2PM ‘GO CRAZY’ are installed. Also, ‘2PM Subway’, which the wrapping is collaborated with Osaka JR Kanjosen, is running in the downtown of Tokyo for a month.

The guerrilla event celebrating the 8th single album release is receiving the most attention. When the special event for the release day of ‘GO CRAZY’ was noticed through The Asahi Shimbun on last 15th, it knocked down the server of the event entry page and made big headlines in internet sites and SNS.

‘Exclusive singing room for 2PM’s GO CRAZY’ is installed in the Japanese famous singing room store ‘Karaoke Kan’. Those singing rooms installed in Shibuya, Roppongi, Ginza, and Osaka for about 2 months since 12th are getting explosive responses as much as it is difficult to book since its opening.

This single album contains Japanese version of the title song ‘GO CRAZY’ which was released on last 15th and ‘Fight’ which is composed and lyrics written by member Taecyeon.

[News] Boys Of 2PM Spotted On Subway Train In Japan


Boy group 2PM has only gotten bigger in Japan with the release of their eighth Japanese single "Midaretemina."

Now, the faces of each of the members can be seen on a subway train in Japan, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

The advertisements surfaced soon after 2PM ranked No. 1 on the country's top ringtone site, Raeco Choco Daily Chart. The idol group had previously topped the popular ringtone chart with their track "Fight," which was released in late August.

The group's new single also took the No. 1, 5 and 7 spots on the Tower Records Music Chart earlier this week.

As the song continues to make its way to the top of the K-pop music charts in Japan, the members of 2PM have officially begun their promotions for the track. Aside from the subway advertisement in Osaka, a total of 52 advertisements were seen in Tokyo's Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akasaka, Omotaesan and other major locations.

So many 2PM advertisements are being seen in certain locations of Tokyo that fans have dubbed them as "2PM Streets."

Along with their fans in Japan, people in Korea have yet to get over the explosive comeback of 2PM with their new album "Go Crazy!"

The album consists of 10 songs and was written, composed, arranged and produced by 2PM's main vocalist Jun.K, according to the media outlet Manila Bulletin. Soon after "Go Crazy!" was released, 2PM immediately topped major music charts in Korea, including Mnet, Olleh, Soribada and Melon.

The music video for "Go Crazy!" was released on September 10 and has already garnered more than 2.9 million views.

2PM will be going on their "Go Crazy" world tour in October, starting with concerts at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.

Just as the members of 2PM are going "crazy" together with the success of their album new album, the boys recently revealed that they would like to enter the army for mandatory military service together as well.

"If we entered the army in a zigzag way, it would take us six years to be complete as a group again. Truthfully, we don't have a lot of members in our group. Whenever we do events and one or two members weren't able to attend, it makes a really big difference too. We can probably do unit promotions too, but it's still not 2PM," said Jun.K in an interview with Joy News.

Member Woohyung added, "I also want to enter (the army) together with the other members. If the elder members entered the army and we younger ones are left, I think it would be lonely."

Wooyoung's smile was contagious not only among HOTTEST, but was reported to have brightened up the set of the advertisement shoot as well. His milky skin and white outfit also made him shine like an angel, and after ending his onscreen marriage with Park Se Young on 'We Got Married', he was also able to pose with a female model freely.

[News] 2PM's Jun.K to produce for top Japanese actor Tomohisa Yamashita's new album


2PM's Jun.K will be participating as a producer for top Japanese actor Tomohisa Yamashita's new album.

JYP Entertainment announced on September 17 that Jun.K is producing the ballad song "Brodia", which the actor wrote the lyrics to himself. The track is just one of 8 on Tomohisa Yamashita's upcoming 'YOU' album.

In other news, Jun.K is receiving a lot of attention for 2PM's latest title track "Go Crazy", which he participated in writing, composing, and producing. He's also most recently produced "So Lucky" from GOT7's debut Japanese single album 'Around the World'.

It looks like Jun.K might follow the same road as J.Y. Park!
