2PM’s Taecyeon is a bona fide CEO of his own OKCAT business!

OKCAT is a character that Taecyeon liked to draw ever since his debut, and has been receiving a lot of love since the start of his business, especially with the release of OKCAT emoticons on Kakao Talk.

During the hour-long launching event for OKCAT, called “The OKCAT Live,” Taecyeon told the history of his development of the character, and released his sketches, giving everyone a good laugh. He also gave a genuine CEO appearance, introducing various OKCAT items as well as explaining the future direction of the business.

Three days following the launching event on October 11, the OKCAT online shopping mall will officially open on October 14. Other news and announcements will be released through the official Twitter (twitter.com/okcatofficial) and Facebook (facebook.com/okcat) pages for OKCAT.

Taecyeon invited many fans to the launching event, and following his presentation of the company, he released his original song, “OKCAT song,” and had a fan-signing event, spending time with his fans. It was said that Taecyeon surprised everyone at the launching event with his flawless execution of the presentation and his effortless wit and humor.

Through Ustream, the OKCAT launching event was broadcast worldwide, and Taecyeon’ fans from all over the world have continually been sending him their interest and support.

Taecyeon said, “I’m so happy to be able to showcase to everyone this character that my fans loved so much.  With the strength from everyone’s support, I will do my very best.  Thank you.”

Due to massive popularity of OkCat, his creator Teacyeon launched his very own business.

Last October 11th, 2PM's Ok Taec Yeon held an event for his brand character 'OkCat' held at the conference room located in COEX.

'OkCat' is an adorable character that Taecyeon used to enjoy sketching since his debut and later it garnered attention from fans and decided to be its brand character.

The event held by Taecyeon is about launching his very own character, he also shared how he started drawing OkCat and how he manage to put together details to make it more eye pleasing.

He also unveiled some songs that would be featured for 'OkCat', after the said presentation an autograph signing and photo time was entertained by the idol. Guests are also impressed on what Taecyeon presented.

TaecYeon later stated, "I am so glad to present this character in front of the audience. I will keep doing my best to show better achievements."

Meanwhile, Taecyeon will be busy handling all the merchandise for 'OkCat' products and will hit the market tomorrow, October 14th.
