Working with a legend, the 2PM members found themselves in Germany with veteran singer, Lee Mi Ja.
On October 8, a press conference for the MBC special, Lee Mi Ja’s Guten Tag, Lady Dongbaek was held at the MBC center in Yeouido. Commemorating 130 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and Germany and 50 years of Korea laborers who were sent to Germany in the 1963, Lee Mi Ja, Cho Yong Nam, and 2PM will be heading to Frankfurt to put on a special concert on October 26.
“It’s very rare that two veteran singers and K-Pop idols come together,” said Taecyeon. “We’re honored and grateful to share a stage with the veterans in Germany.”
“We rearranged Lee Mi Ja’s debut song, Innocence of 19 in our own style and sang it with her,” continued Taecyeon. “2PM has fans of ages 10 to 30. We’ll show what the youth and spirit of Korea’s K-Pop looks like.”
Meanwhile, Lee Mi Ja previously held a moving concert in Germany back in August of 2002. Also in September, she held a free concert in Germany, with tickets disappearing within a day.
In the upcoming concert, Lee Mi Ja and Cho Yong Nam will sing their hit songs, while 2PM will perform the dance version ofInnocence of 19. The broadcast will air in November.
