[News] 2PM Nichkhun’s Volunteer Documentary in Tanzania to Air This Week
From the first day of arrival upon the village, the crew encountered hardships as it found its major supplies had not arrived. Nichkhun and the others wasted no time in crafting basic supplies for themselves including making chopsticks out of wood and cutting up bottles to use as dishes.
The entire team spent the two weeks camping outdoors in tents and lived frugally with water and food rationed out for each individual.
Nichkhun also ventured out with a team by boat for eight hours to find fresh water and also faced a crisis when their boat suddenly stalled as Nichkhun got a taste of what incredible hardships the locals faced every day.
Nichkhun shared, “While we can turn on a faucet for water any time, I was shocked to learn the people here must travel by boat for at least eight hours just to find fresh water. Through the KOICA Dream project, I hope I will be able to provide some sort of strength for the people here who must live without electricity and water.”
The full story of the volunteer team’s time there will be seen when the documentary airs on MBC on December 12.

[Entertainment] NS Yoon-G and U-Kiss’ Eli Eye 2PM Chansung’s Pecs
Revealing one beauty and body secret at a time, NS Yoon-G and U-Kiss’ Eli visited the gym where the 2PM members exercise at.
On December 8’s broadcast of O’live’s K-Pop Tasty Road, NS Yoon-G and Eli began exercising at the 2PM gym, when they were visited by a 2PM member himself.
Chansung made a special appearance and helped the two hosts with their exercises.
2PM’s trainer, who was also present, pinpointed Taecyeon and Nichkhun as having the best bodies in 2PM, making Chansung sweat bullets.
Then the trainer also added, “Honestly, 2AM has the best bodies.”
But since the 2PM members also have great bodies, NS Yoon-G and Eli tried to guess which muscular body belonged to which member. To check, Eli and NS Yoon-G stared attentively at Chansung’s pecs, making Chansung a bit embarrassed.

[News] Jay Chou Speaks Out Against PSY But Imitates 2PM’s Wooyoung?
Taiwan’s popular artist Jay Chou is currently being criticized for making contradictory statements.
When Jay Chou received an award at a recent awards ceremony, he gave an acceptance speech and mentioned PSY‘s “Gangnam Style” and spoke against the Korean culture. However, local Chinese media outlets noticed that he also imitated 2PM‘s Wooyoung in recent promotions and therefore, criticized his remarks.
Jay Chou received the Most Popular Male Artist from the Chinese portal site, Baidu. He gave an acceptance speech saying, “‘Gangnam Style’ is very funny but Chinese music is better than that,” and “We should not imitate Hallyu anymore. All of the celebrities must unite and never do ‘Gangnam Style’ again.”
However, the Hong Kong media reported that Jay Chou’s words contradicted his actions
The report stated, “Jay Chou’s most recent album jacket cover has almost the exact same fashion as 2PM’s Wooyoung. Even his hairstyle seems the same.” They continued, “It’s contradictory for Jay Chou to copy a K-Pop artist but then proclaim that everyone should stop following Hallyu.”
This news is similar to Jackie Chan‘s remarks about Hallyu in the past. In 2005, Jackie Chan attended a party to celebrate the success of the film, “Endless Love – The Myth,” which also had Kim Hee Sun as part of the cast. At the party, Jackie Chan stated, “I’m not having fun. I’m not satisfied with this amount of success. The people of China must come together and compete against Hollywood and Hallyu.”
At the time, the local Chinese media similarly reported, “Jackie Chan is the one who scouted Kim Hee Sun, who played an important role in the success of the film but his remarks about the trends and cultures is contradicting his actions.”
